August

Hello August,

Why are you here so fast? I'm not that ready yet. I don't know if I made the right decision or not, but I hope things will go as planned.

Anyway, July was treating me so good. I loved it. I've received a photography book from the U.S. Embassy. Thanks to my photo that was in the top 11. I did meet so many great friends there. Yeah, I had a very great time. I know I'm gonna miss it. Besides that, I had so many great events I attended with my mom dad cousins and all. It's really a great month so far.
Also, it helped me to realize that distant does mean a lot to relationship. I'm not talking about bf or gf relationship here. I'm talking about friends. We used to be so closed, like really really closed. After college, things started to change slowly. Now I know that only my family is my bestest friends. My once-I-called-closest-friends have become someone I almost don't know. Their words to you now are like sword. Anyway, what's done is done. It's not like I started it first or anything. Someday, they're gonna regret it. I'm not that awesome or anything, but my relationship to them is pure.

What else did I plan to write here? Er... Oh yeah, I plan to make a new blog for my new journey, but it's gonna be Wordpress. I'll link it here once it's done. It's going to be like a photo blog. That's still a plan, though. I'll update it more often. Promise. (^-^) Hehe
Stay tuned!

Until then, good night and may Gods bless me and all my beloved ones. :)

Baitong Restaurant

Did you notice something on my blog's header? Oh well, that's the topic of today's post. I am currently helping my friend promote his restaurant. The restaurant's name is Baitong aka. Green. If you're in Phnom Penh, Cambodia or planning a trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, don't forget Baitong. You will get to have the taste of the real Asian. For more information, you can contact me here or my friend directly. Here's his email address: s_narath@yahoo.com

His name is Narath aka. Nathaniel.

Thank you and Baitong is looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you. <3

My So-Called Photo-Taking Skill

I always have a hard time coping with my mom's complaints when it comes to photo-taking thingy. Mom always says that my photo-taking skill is so horrible. No matter how much I try, I always end up swallowing all her complaints and blames. Sigh!

By the way, I just made it to the top 11 of a photo contest for the U.S Embassy. Even though I didn't get number 1, but still I was in the top 11 among the 200 something photos submitted. As for the last voting phase, I got number 10 (almost the last one among the top 11, but hey, it's still something, ok?) Or maybe if I really master this skill like my mom, maybe maybe maybe I'd crown it and get a laptop. -___- Ai yo!

Insomnia

I guess I'm aging because I start having insomnia too frequent these days. Well, it was pretty annoying at first, but now I think I've found my solution. How?

At first I tried reading my textbook and after awhile it worked like a magic. It took less than 15 minutes for me to fall asleep. Awesome!

Since my major involved 50% of business courses, I tend to have a business mindset, too. Time is money and 15 minutes worth a lot. So I came up with a better idea. I put my textbook under my pillow and tried to sleep. Can you believe it, it worked like a charm to me. This time I didn't have to waste 15 minutes anymore. I fell asleep straight away. ^-^
And guess what, I still haven't done and reviewed my assignments/lessons yet. You should know why... Haha -___-

Surprised!

On October last year, I blogged about one of my achievements. The post itself was a bit emotional, determined, and all. It was about how I won an English dictionary from the U.S Embassy's quiz on Facebook.

Yesterday someone from the embassy with the name, Craig, made a comment about that post. He kindly gave me another link for the new contest. This time is a photo contest. He then enclosed with (From, Your friends at the U.S. Embassy). This last sentence choked me. =) I am so happy that I now have friends from the U.S. Embassy. :) I can't believe that someone from the embassy would read it. I checked my Feedjit and it showed that the reader was from Virginia, U.S. So, I assumed that the embassy's server is located there. Hehe

I actually saw the announcement on Facebook about this new contest already. I even retweeted it in my Twitter account. However, I'm still surprised by his comment. I'm not going to question how they found my post and all, though, because I know how small the world is with this new technology, internet. I myself do that quite often, too. What important is that there are people who actually read my blog and that's more than enough to make my day more beautiful. :)

I have so many things to accomplish this month including this photo contest. I did a bit of brainstorming about it this afternoon, too. I'm going to finish one of my goals the latest by the day after tomorrow so that I can start focusing on this one. May God bless me! <3 Wohooo!!!

p.s. Craig, did you read this post, too? :)
